Project Reports

A project report is the document banks and partners ask for when you want funds or a new unit. It explains the plan, the cost and how the money will work — one file instead of loose notes.

What is a project report?

It is a written proposal with numbers. It says what you want to set up, what it will cost, how you will fund it, and how the activity can repay that cost.

When you need one

  • A bank term loan for machinery, a shop or a small unit
  • Working-capital discussion where the lender wants a plan
  • A partner or family investor who wants the idea on paper
  • A new line of business inside an existing firm

How it differs from projections

Projections are the number workings — sales, cost and cash. A project report wraps those numbers in the story of the project: promoter, location, process, cost of project, means of finance, and repayment. Most banks want the report, not only a spreadsheet.

What a simple report usually contains

  • Who the promoter is and what they already run
  • What will be produced or sold
  • Cost of project — land, building, machine, margin money
  • Means of finance — own funds and loan
  • Sales and profit workings for a few years
  • Repayment of the proposed loan

What we do

  • Take your figures and your proposal
  • Build the cost of project and the workings
  • Write one file you can submit

Papers usually needed

  • KYC of the promoter and the firm
  • Existing books or ITR, if the business is already running
  • Quotations for machines or works
  • A short note of capacity, price and market
  • Bank statements
